Amid all the busyness-Be still and know!

If your Christmas season is not matching the pictures on the cards you are receiving-- read on.

Psalm 46 begins vs. 1 "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble." God knew there would be troubles and challenges for us. In this Psalm he prepares us. It continues to discuss many of the troubles that could occur.

Several of my friends are finding this holiday difficult as they travel through it without someone they love. I encourage you to reach out. Some of the people you think are so self-sufficient may be struggling; widows, widower's, those divoriced, non custodial parents, the elderly, children as they shuffle between parents, adult children trying to give equal time to multiple sets of parents and grandparents, mothers and fathers as they struggle to be the best parents, military families coping with deployment and those serving stateside. I hope you will read Psalm 46 and perhaps read the last two verses twice. vs. 10  " "Be still and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!" "     vs. 11 "The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress."

Blessings on your day,
