Psalm 43 - In the dark

We don't appreciate the light until we are in the dark.

With the time change, we are in the dark earlier. The Psalmist is asking God to "send forth your light and your truth; let them lead me." A friend recently returned a key to me and she had added a small light to the key chain. What a difference that little bit of light makes when trying to find a key hole. With a light we can find our way. When the power goes out we make a lot of noise, that is not joyful, but upon it's return even though we are happy we are apt to forget to make a joyful noise. Imagine the joyful noise of those facing oppression when the light of God's truth is evidenced. A little light! Pray for God to bring His light and truth into your life and the life of those you know.

Then as it says in verse 4a "... go to the alter of God, to God my exceeding joy, and I will praise you with the lyre, O God, My God." (If you don't have a lyre handy, it's okay to hum a praise song.)

Blessings on you day,
