Psalm 42 and permission to ask WHY.

Today's Psalm gives us permission to ask why and in it's beauty offers comfort and reassurance.

Read through this Psalm. Read the questions posed by the author and read the answers. You hear the struggle of trusting and the lifting of hope. Ultimately as the last verse reads: "Hope in God: for I shall again praise him, my salvation and my God."

I know the comfort of this verse as I attend my friend who awaits the end of her earthly journey. We have prayed together through so many of life's 'opportunities' presented more than once as challenges and each and every time she evidenced her faith in God. My friend never pretended to know the WHY, she didn't have to, she knew the one who did. Today I ask you to share with me the beautiful verse in Song of Solomon chapter 2 vs. 10 "My beloved speaks and says to me: Arise, my love, my beautiful one, and come away, for behold, the winter is past; the rain is over and gone; The flowers appear on the earth, the time of singing has come, and the voice of the turtledove is heard in our land."

Thank you for sharing this offering to my Lord and Savior. I will praise him for the gift of this wonderful friend.

Amen and Amen.

Blessings on your day
