Psalm 37 Fret Not!

Fret Not! On a scale of 0-(none)-1-2-3-4-5 (maxed out) what is your fretting score. Psalm 37 tells us "Fret not...."

On those days when my own fretting score is too high, it helps to read this beautiful Psalm and focus on the promises it contains. II Cor. 10:5b urges us to "Take every thought captive to obey Christ." You can indulge in your ruminating, your grudges and fears. You have free will. But consider the path and where it takes you. The dictionary refers to fretting as a wearing, that it is corrosive, a path made by erosion or abrasion. No wonder our loving God tells us to fret not, to wait patiently and to trust. Feeling alone in your moments of fretting? Read this Psalm seek the peace God offers, share the peace God offers and God will use your faith in ways you could never imagine.

That fretting thing, you don't need it! There's a better way.

Blessings on your day,

Nelle
