God the Almighty Warrior

Psalm 35, God the Almighty Warrior. Vs. 1 "Contend, O Lord, with those who contend with me; fight against those who fight against me!" What does David see going on that he appeals to God the Almighty Warrior?

Read Psalm 35. David has has found men he trusted to have disdain for him. Where do you turn when you realize the person or people you trusted have been working against you? There is someone you can trust. That is when David called upon God the Almighty Warrior. David continues to appeal to God as he explores the deception going on around him, until vs. 27 there he gives recognition to the fact there are those who who delight in God's righteousness. In the final verses of the Psalm David proclaims victory when he says, Vs. 27b. "Great is the Lord who delights in the welfare of his servant. vs. 28 Then my tongue shall tell of your righteousness and of your praise all the day long."

Blessings on your day,
