Senses and Sense

Psalm 28  vs. 5 speaks of our not regarding the works of the Lord. When was the last time you thought about the gift of your five senses?

I recently made the acquaintance of a young woman who had lost her sense of smell after being injured in an automobile accident. She shared how much that loss affected the enjoyment of many aspects of her life. Yesterday a lady shared she had lost the ability to taste food as a result of medication she must take. The world is filled with sound. Perhaps you know someone confined to living in silence, without the ability to hear. In my current book in progress, one of my characters cannot speak. I am amazed as I study and write about his social interactions. Sing to the Lord. Even if the song is as simple as 'Jesus Loves Me'.

In this Psalm David states Vs. 7 The Lord is my strength and my shield. In him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults and with my song I give thanks to him.

Senses- any of the animal functions of hearing, sight, smell, touch and taste.

Sense - the faculty of external and self-perception exemplified by these functions.

With 'Sense and Senses' - Praise our amazing God!

Blessings on your day,
