Psalm 20 Trusting in God

Psalm 20 begins with words of blessings, continues in hope for answered prayer, and shares what it means to trust in the name of the Lord. Have you ever prayed this way?

This Psalm is brief, nine verses, and instructional. Do your prayers open with praise and blessings? Do you share your concerns in hope for answered prayer? Does your prayer end with evidence of your trust in the Lord? As we go through our day it is so easy to get 'caught up' in the groaning, the moaning and the laments around us. Here the Psalm proclaims when we know in this life we will have troubles and our trust is in the Lord, we can rejoice even when the situation appears preposterous. Reading scripture reveals the Lord's faithfulness to those who trust in him. Living daily, knowing the Lord as your Savior brings the past we read about into our own 'very present'. Vs. 9b May he answer us when we call.

Blessings on your day.
