I missed you

Greeting from Mulberry Hill,

When was the last time someone said to you , "I missed you?" or sent you a note saying they missed seeing you at a family event, social function or even church. We often look around and greet people. We even note who is absent, but do we take the time to call or tell them we missed seeing them.

Psalm 16 As near as His right hand

We recently welcomed a new baby boy into our family. I am sure these new parents have expanded their understanding of 'nearness' and what it means to be as 'near as my right hand. They want to see their baby and watch his every breath. More than anything else, they want him as near as their right hand. To be sure he is safe, they want to hold him in their arms; to have him near, means they can protect him.

In verse 8 David speaks about his desire that God be at his right hand so he will not be moved. Verse 11 speaks about what it means to be at God's right hand, where there are pleasures for evermore.

Read Psalm 16 and study how God wants you to experience His nearness.

Blessings on you day,

As sure as I am writing this - I believe with all my heart- they will return

Psalm 15 Who?

Psalm 15 asks a question - who is worthy to come and worship? Then proceeds to answer the question. One who is does what is right. The Psalm then continues to tell the reader the qualities of 'one who does right'. God desires our heart be sincere and truthful. Read this Psalm, then ask God to show you the areas of your life where you are not sincere and where you are not truthful.

Each year I choose a word to study for the year. One year I studied righteousness.

(If you desire an interesting word study that will offer you the opportunity to grow, study the word righteousness.)

only one- Psalm 14

Read Psalm 14, and think about the number 1, just one-!Does it sometimes seem that those who do not believe in God are everywhere. Do you remember when you were a teen and you tried to use the group logic on your parents - the "everybody is doing it- argument. Now you are older, do you tend to turn to group think logic and say 'they' are all turning away from God. Are you turning away from God? That's one- Start looking for the 1- that person you know who fervently prays for others, the person offering a coat or a meal to someone they do not know- a pastor or Bible teacher committed to teaching God's word. No my friend 'they' all are not turning away from God. This Psalm tells us many are, but be encouraged, you can make a difference in someone's today. The number 1 is important, God proved that, when one man died for your sins.

May your day land - Jelly Side Up.
