New from Nelle Cooper

Who's there?

Have you ever began a conversation sure you are talking to one person and find out you were talking to someone else. I have a good friend who can carry on a conversation with a wrong number and hang up laughing. Sometimes I receive calls on my cell phone and the person firmly denies ever calling me. That's why, when I received a daily devotional titled "Jesus Calling" written by Sarah Young, I opened it up thinking I knew what Jesus would be calling about. I am astonished at the depth and wonders of this book. It is beautifully written and I am blessed each day through the message and the scripture. Thank you to my friend Peggy for giving me this gift and thank you Sarah for writing a beautiful devotional.

If you know of someone who would benefit from a very personal style devotional, I recommend this book.

Blessings on your day,

Nelle

I confess - I am sorry Psalm 38

Psalm 38 is very vivid. It's painful to read. As some say it is "UP front and Personal!! It tells us what sin looks like and what it does.

God has a plan for the stinking, festering burden and the distruction of sin. This visible description of sighing, longing, heart throbbing, strength failing, friends deserting. It is all too real. The Psalm says look at this, see the pain that comes from sin. See the trials it brings. This is not what God wants for you. He corrects and teaches. Stay the course of righteousness. With this knowledge "Verse 18: I confess my iniguity; I am sorry for my sin."  has true meaning. As you read through the verses, praise God for his wonderful plan and prayerfully utter Vs. 22, Make haste to help me, O Lord, My Salvation!

I hope you will take a few minutes today and read this Psalm.

Blessings on your day,

Nelle

If it were not for the ending prayer the reader would be rendered helpless and hopeless. That is not the God who teaches
